5. International European Overtone Choir Week 2009
Dear friends and members of "European Overtone Choir - EOC",
a couple of weeks have already passed since our last choir-week in Bad Fredeburg. The project continues and the next meeting takes place in Nové Hrady, Czech Republic http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nové_Hrady. Some of you may already know this beautiful town in South-Bohemia, next to the Austrian border, from last year`s meeting.
Everything is finally set and we can invite you to our upcoming choir-week now.
The meeting is from 05th-12th July, 2009 and will be musically supervised by our choirmaster Prof. Steffen Schreyer and Wolfgang Saus.
This time we will reside at “Hotel Residence” http://www.rezidencenh.cz/cs/. Rehearsal rooms are provided ath the hotel as well as at the music school nearby. We will have our principal meals at the town hall, where our own cook prepares a large variety of vegetarian dishes exclusively for us.
Every experienced choir-singer or overtone-singer can participate in our overtone project. There will be one-by-one interviews on the first day for all new participants. Those interviews will help us to cover the participant`s vocal potential and will allow individual training.
During the choir-week additional songs will be rehearsed by some participants.
Just like last year, there will be a festival for Overtone- and Worldmusic in Nové Hrady http://www.alikvotnifestival.cz/. In the course of the festival we will have two shows. One of those shows will be together with Pavlica and the ensemble Hradišťan. The cooperation with the outstanding director and composer Pavlica will certainly be a special experience. This year all participants will be accommodated in double bedrooms including shower and WC. The price includes the use of the hotel`s saltcave and whirlpool.
As the number of bedrooms is limited, you`d better book as soon as possible.
The prices shown below are the total costs for the entire choir-project including full board residential. Though the stay is slightly longer than during the easter holidays and the accommodation is in a hotel this time, we have been able to keep the costs as low as usual.
Again there are two different prices, depending on the participant`s origin.
1. Price for non-listed countries
400 EUR
2. Reduced price for listed countries (Macedonia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Slovakia, Portugal, Estonia, Malta, Czech Republic)
250 EUR
Payment will be made in EUR (unless you ar from Czech Republic). The fees for an euro bank transfer is identical with regular domestic bank transfers.Registration is possible online via our form here.
There you can also tell us, with whom you would like to share a room. We will try our very best to fulfil your desires and will inform you immediately about your registration. Afterwards you can transfer the money to the indicated bank account. As soon as we received the payment, we will finally confirm the registration.
Arrival and departure must be organized and paid by yourself. We suggest to travel via Linz or Prague. Further information on detailed directions (train connections e.g.) and the schedule of the choir-project will be provided for you after your registration.
