Dear friends and members of "European Overtone Choir - EOC",
at the same date as last year, we invite you to our next choir-meeting in second week of easter-holidays. Since our last three meetings of "European Overtone Choir" took place in Czech Republic, our next meeting will be in Germany this time.
For a couple of weeks now we are concentrated on the preparation of this year`s first meeting. This email is about the most important thing we have to take care of - YOU. Just like any other choir, this choir can only work with a great number of of highly motivated and interested musicians. We hereby invite you and your friends to join our upcoming choir week.
The meeting takes place in Bad Fredeburg from Easter Monday, 13th till Sunday, 19th April 2009. The health resort Bad Fredeburg (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bad_Fredeburg) is a district of Schmallenberg in North Rhine-Westphalia.
Our choirmaster Prof. Steffen Schreyer and Wolfgang Saus will supervise the week-long choir project in the academy Bad Fredeburg (www.akademie-bad-fredeburg.de).
Besides traditional choir music and overtone music specifically composed for this overtone-choir, we will also create experimental and improvised sounds to hear and experience the special sound-dimension of overtones. The entire choir project will be held in German and English.
Even though the choir is called "European Overtone Choir", participants do not usually have to be overtone singers. Every experienced choir singer can participate. Those who have not yet sung overtone, will have the chance to join special workshops besides our actual rehearsals. Experienced overtone singers will have the opportunity to develop their skills and to prove it in the choir.
Arrival is on Easter Monday `round 4 pm. The choir meeting officially begins at 6 pm with a shared dinner.
Just like during our last meeting, we will have one-by-one interviews first. Those interviews will help us to cover the participant`s vocal potential and will allow individual training.
The choir meeting will end with a final concert. April, 19th 2009 will be the day of departure and the choir project will end after a shared breakfast.
We have been keen to keep the expenses for all participants as low as possible. That`s why all particiants will be accomodated in shared bedrooms (2-4 people). We try our very best to fulfil your desires regarding the occupancy of the rooms.
We have two different offers for the choir project. All prices shown are for the entire choir project including full board residential and participation in workshops. Drinks are not included.
Arrival is on one`s own responsibility.

Registration is now possible online via our form on the EOC website. There you can also tell us, with whom you would like to share a room and whether you prefer a vegetarian diet. We will try our very best to fulfil your desires and will inform you immediately about your registration. Afterwards you can transfer the money to the indicated bank account. As soon as we received the payment, we will finally confirm the registration. An early registration will help us to plan the meeting and also increases your chances of being accommodated in a room with less beds. We will consider the order of the registration when assigning the rooms.
Once you are registered, we will provide you with further information as soon as possible. We will also be keen to help you to car-pool.
